Prosecco and Rose’ spumante wine Review & Giveaway

Let’s day dream for a minute: just imagine yourself sitting outside a bar in a piazza, in the Italian sunshine sipping a good glass of prosecco, chilling out with a plump and juicy olive, a bruschetta and a slice of prosciutto.. mmm.. what a life!

This is one of the things I really miss about Italy. The ritual of aperitivo has always been so popular all over the “bel paese”, the beautiful country. Particularly in Milan this is a long lasting tradition: after 6pm in many bars of the city the “Aperitivo Milanese” takes place and for a very modest price you can buy a drink or two and then help yourself to grilled vegetables, pizza, salami, pasta and much more.

As I don’t live in Italy anymore hubby and I often enjoy the aperitivo at home. A good opportunity came when, just before Easter, I received some prosecco and spumante wine rose’ to review.

Prosecco and Grand Rose' Premier Estates from Veneto

“Premier Estates Wine” has sent me “Prosecco Doc Millesimato” made using Glera grapes from Valdobbiadene in the Veneto region of North Eastern Italy.

This is also available in handy 20cl mini bottles perfect if you just fancy a glass and don’t want to open up a whole bottle.

This prosecco comes at an affordable price of £ 7.99 a bottle, it is slightly sweet, light and delicate with flowery notes and if you are hosting a party and you need several bottles or if your budget is limited then this is a good prosecco to go for.

I enjoyed this wine with a simple tomato and basil bruschetta topped with lots of olive oil but this is great to create your own cocktails too. Mix it with white peach puree and you will have a refreshing “Bellini”drink.

Prosecco Premier Estates from Veneto

“Grand Rose’ Vino Spumante”  extra Dry is a refreshing, “easy drinking” sparkling wine good in my opinion with a dessert. This is made with a blend of white and red grapes from the Veneto region and comes at £7.99 a bottle.

It is pale pink in colour and I can confidently say this is a pleasant and fruity light wine. This is perfect for summer cocktails too.

Grand Rose' sparkling spumante wine

It went well with my Love Persian Cake, (one of my favourite recipes) and I served it for Easter to my guests.

So do you fancy some bubbly yourself? Premier Estates Wine is kindly offering to one lucky My Little Italian Kitchen reader:

– 2 bottles of Prosecco Millesimato

– 2 bottles of Grand Rose Vino Spumante

– 2 mini 20 cl Prosecco bottles

  1. I love a Baileys with lots of ice but because I am putting on lots of weight from drinking it lol, I also love a dry white Pinot with lots of ice too 🙂
