I so much love quick and easy recipes.
I have practically given up on complicated ones. Anything I publish on this blog goes onto my family dinner plates, so most of the recipes have to be reasonably quick and easy midweek meals with the odd fancy “treat” because we all need to have something special from time to time. Sharing my recipes on this site gives me a reason to be more creative when I cook for my family.
Starting this blog, which has now a steady and continuously growing readership, has been one of the best thing I have done in my life and I would like to thank all of you who have been following me for sometime, leaving lovely comments and words of encouragement. They mean so much to me.
This week I have a nice Valentine fish based menu to share. If you are not celebrating Valentine then these recipes would be good for other occasions too.
Today I am sharing my dead-easy super tasty starter: king prawns wrapped in puff pastry. This turned out to be a winning starter and we were all fighting over the prawns at the dinner table!
If you are short of time, and you like fish and want something tasty, then this is going to be a winner!
- Prep Time : 15 minutes
- Cook Time : 15 minutes
Ingredients
- fresh raw king prawns
- puff pastry sheet – 1
- milk – to brush
- poppy or sesame seeds
Instructions
Clean the prawns, remove their shell and black filament under the belly (as it is bitter) but leave the tails on.
Cut the puff pastry into strips and wrap it around the prawns.

Brush them with a little bit of milk

And sprinkle them with poppy or sesame seeds. Put them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.

Cook them at 200C or 400F for for 15 minutes. Serve warm

I’m dying…. love the combination of flavors! I totally adore prawns! I bet yours were fantastic!
